Where to recycle sustainably in Denver

I know that most of you feel that you don’t have the time to get rid of your unwanted items in the appropriate manner or that you don’t know how. The harsh reality is that we need to start recycling appropriately, or you may end up living next door to the latest landfill site.

Here are a few shocking stats I found:

  • Colorado is one of the most wasteful states in the country.

  • 306 pounds of recyclable materials are sent to the landfill by the average Denver household. That’s the same weight as a giant male Panda!

  • Denver residents recycle 14 percent less of their overall waste than the national average.

As a result, Colorado adopted its first set of statewide recycling goals, and I want you and I to be a part of it. If we can get to a 28% recycling rate, that would be the same as taking 485,000 cars off the road annually. Not only will it reduce carbon emission, but it will protect our air and water quality and will help protect our beautiful Colorado ecosystem.

Here is everything you need and more when it comes to where to recycle sustainably in Denver.

Please download it, put it on your pin board or take a picture on your phone so you have a copy with you at all times!
